For South Afircan donors who are registered taxpayers: JBC is a registered Public Benefit Organisation and its activities qualify for Section 18 A tax deductions: As such, donors are able to receive a specific receipt for the donations made in any tax year (12 month period ending 28 February each year) and claim this as a deduction in their annual tax return. The deduction is limited to 5% of taxable income. In order to obtain the S18A tax deduction receipt, please provide details of name, address and tax reference number to brenda@jbc.org.za as well as proof of payment of funds. Once this has been confirmed, S18A receipt can be issued.
